Christopher Wilson, a young percussionist with an emphasis in marimba, has taking audiences by storm. Wilson was born in a small farm town in southeast Iowa, and received his Bachelors degree from Eastern Washington University as a student of Marty Zyskowski. Wilson studied marimba with Nancy Zeltsman while receiving a Masters degree from the Boston Conservatory.
Since graduation from the Boston Conservatory, Wilson has entertained audiences around New England and his native Iowa. Wilson has been a proponent of new music, performing works by young composers; and has been a proponent of bringing music to those who don’t normally hear it. He has performed often at schools, assisted living centers, etc. He now resides with his wife Jacqueline in Iowa.
