Wilson is also available for solo performances with group accompaniment. These can include

-School Assemblies-
Wilson currently performs an assembly called "The Origins of the Marimba." It is a travel around the world musically,
from Africa, to Mexico, and including the music of America and Japan. This show is designed to be accesible
to any K-12 age. It includes audience participation and even some African drumming!
-Marimba Clinics and Master Classes-
Presentations are generall one to two hours long.
These can be tailored to particular groups of marimbists and percussionists at a conservatory,
university/college, high school, or regional festival/retreat.
From Nancy Zeltsman's website: "The difference between a 'clinic' and 'master class'
is that the latter includes performances by a few students who wish to receive feedback.
Students observing usually benefit from this as well." Masterclases are typical, but if you wish for a clinic,
then Mr. Wilson can "lecture" on many topics, such as musicality, technique, tone production, etc.
Wilson is open to any suggestions on what to clinic on.
-Marimba Demonstration for Composers-
As an advocate for new music, Wilson is enthusiastic about working with composers (both young and old).
Demonstrations include performances (of music from Wilson's repertoire), and lectures on how to score
for the marimba. Performances of newly composed music is available as long as Wilson has adequate
time to prepare.
-Study privately-
Wilson also offers private lessons to high school, junior high and beginning percussionists in the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area.
He offers very competitive rates, and the ability to travel to your school or home.
Private lessons for students who are attending residencies/performances/master classes can also be arranged.
